About Me
I look forward to teaching your child this year! This is my 25th year teaching Spanish at Piedmont IB Middle School. I was born and raised in Charlotte and I am East Indian American. I attended Charlotte Latin for eight years and graduated from Myers Park High School. I graduated from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with Bachelor of Arts. Following that I received an additional degree in Spanish in 2000. While attending UNC-Chapel Hill, I studied in México City for five months. After graduation, I completed two graduate courses, Colegio de España in Salamanca, Spain. From there, I studied at the Forester Instituto Internacional in San José, Costa Rica. After teaching for several years I earned my Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Supervision in May 2005. I received my Administrative License K-12 in May 2009. I have continued my Professional Development over the years and am a Master Teacher (2008-2014) and Teaching Fellow (2013-present).
